Living with Chronic Pain
Chronic pain can have a profound impact on day-to-day life. It often affects sleep, mood, relationships, work, and confidence, and over time it can begin to shape how you see yourself and the future.
Many people I work with come to therapy unsure whether psychological support can help with pain. Therapy does not suggest that pain is “all in the mind”, but recognises the close links between the body, thoughts, emotions, and lived experience.
I will work with you to explore the many factors that influence pain and distress, and to develop new ways of responding to these challenges. Therapy focuses on helping pain take up less space in your life, so it does not define what is possible or meaningful for you.

Adjusting to Long-Term Health Conditions or Injury
Living with a long-term health condition or the effects of injury often involves ongoing adjustment. Changes may be physical, cognitive, emotional, or social, and it is common to experience feelings of loss, frustration, grief, or uncertainty about the future.
Whether you are newly diagnosed, adapting after injury, or have been living with these changes for some time, therapy can provide space to reflect, adapt, and regain a sense of control. Drawing on my experience supporting people with life-changing injury, I will help you to develop psychological flexibility and practical strategies that support wellbeing and quality of life.

Life Stage Change
Life changes such as menopause and retirement, can bring unexpected emotional challenges. Changes in routine, role, identity, and social connection can leave people feeling unsettled, low in confidence, or unsure about what comes next.
For some these coincides with changes in health or physical ability, which can add further complexity to the adjustment. Therapy offers space to explore these changes, acknowledge what has been lost, and consider how to shape this stage of life in a way that feels meaningful and self-directed.
I can support you in navigating these changes with greater clarity, helping you to reconnect with your values, strengths, and sense of purpose.
